The technology of injection molding we use primarily for the manufacture of thermoplastics. Injection molding is carried out under the pressure of 80-140 MPa at the injection molding machines of screw type that have a high degree of mechanization and automation. Injection molding machines dispense granular material, transform it into plastic condition, inject doses of the melt in the casting form, exposure in the form under the pressure before solidification, opening form and pop the finished product. The sequence of operations of injection molding of plastic products under the pressure is called the technological cycle of injection molding.

Pressure of injection molding depends on the melt viscosity of the material, mold design, the size of the gating system and molded products. Casting at very high pressures (up to 500 MPa) reduces the residual stresses in the material, increases the degree of orientation of crystallisable polymers, which contributes to hardening of the material and provides more accurate reproduction of part dimensions.
